DEANA ZABALDO
I found a path that fulfills me. I started by following what was true for me, even when I didn’t understand it. Over the years I learned how to listen to myself and to trust that wisdom. It has allowed me to create a meaningful life that supports me materially and inspires me spiritually. I also had to grow into the person who was capable of living it.
I developed a wide range of professional experience, beginning with a Master’s in Behavioral Psychology. I went on to do education and training at Lucent Technologies, teach psychology at Louisiana State University, and serve as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal. I became an award-winning professional guide in Bhutan and Nepal and founded a nonprofit for poverty alleviation in Nepal. In the San Francisco Bay Area, I have launched and directed international exchange programs, offered trainings at institutions from Stanford University to Bank of the West, and eventually became a certified coach. Along the way, I sat a silent meditation retreat for six weeks, ran a marathon, taught yoga, became a Wilderness First Responder, and explored shores and mountains across the West.
I believe that when you find the path to your highest self, you begin to grow in new ways and offer your talents into the world with creativity and power. I want to help you explore what makes you come alive. And support you in building the skills you need to live it.
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
–Howard Thurman
I started coaching because I love supporting people through personal transformation. I love working with people one-on-one to make their lives better, easier, and more rewarding. Stress and difficulty don’t disappear, but we can navigate them with improved skills and create a life that supports us. Through my own experience I have found integrated mind-body practices to simply be the most powerful way to access wisdom and real growth.
